Steph & Piers were married at the glorious downtown venue: The Burroughes. The couple met in London, England, where Piers is from and where they now both live. Half their guests were Canadian, and the other half British. The couple definitely wanted to include traditional elements from both cultures.
It was a hot summer day, and the ceremony was in the right wing. Cocktail hour followed and we served oysters, mini Yorkshire puddings stuffed with roast beef tenderloin & beef jus. Lobster rolls, roasted beets & fried goat cheese skewers, and many more. For the first course, we served kale Caesar salad with a scotch egg. For main course, beef wellington of course, along with a seared Branzino dish and a vegetarian truffle mushroom risotto. Dessert featured our famous sticky toffee pudding and our vegan coconut & citrus pana cotta. Late night was poutine!
